Welcome! My name is Jennifer Olson and I teach 11th/12th grade English Composition, 12th grade Current World Problems, 11th grade United States History, 9th/10th grade Honors Composition, and 9th grade Civics/Economics. I also teach a Leadership class for grades 10-12. This is my tenth year at Rosalia High School and my fifteenth year teaching overall.
In addition to teaching, I am the Rosalia High School Associated Student Body (ASB) Advisor, and the 12th grade Class Advisor. EWU College in the Classroom Courses
HIST 110: The American Experience
This course is taught in conjunction with 11th grade U.S. History and is open to juniors. Student can earn 4 quarter credits through EWU at no cost while completing coursework designed by college faculty and administered by Mrs. Olson. The course focuses on American history from 1492 to the present with an emphasis on the 20th century. Students must earn a "C" grade or above to receive credit.
INST 200: Global Issues
This course is taught in conjunction with 12th grade Current World Problems and is open to seniors. Students can earn 4 quarter credits through EWU. The course focuses on current global events with an emphasis on economic and political trends. Students must earn a "C" grade or above to receive credit.
ENGL 101: Composition
This course is taught in conjunction with 11th/12th grade College Prep English and is open to juniors and seniors. Students can earn 5 quarter credits through EWU. Students must pass the EWU English placement test or qualify based on ACT, SAT, or Smarter Balance scores. Students must earn a "C" grade or above to receive credit. This course is taught on alternating years with ENGL 170.

For students who need assistance on assignments, I am available in the morning at 7:45 A.M. and after school until 4:00pm. I can meet during lunch by appointment. AR oral quizzes can also be done during these times.
